Therapeutic Support
Therapeutic Services
Emotional wellbeing plays a vital role in living a connected and independent life. Our therapeutic services are designed to support emotional regulation, build confidence, and create space for reflection.
Our sessions are grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy principles and tailored to the needs, communication style, and goals of each situation.
The therapeutic approach is practical and accessible, offering a calm, structured space to explore thoughts and feelings, recognise patterns, and develop tools for managing day-to-day challenges.
How Therapeutic Support Works
This service sits alongside Behaviour Support Plans and wider goals, providing a supportive, relational framework to build understanding and coping strategies. It can be especially helpful in managing emotional dysregulation, responding to change, or maintaining progress following a period of instability.
Therapeutic input has already contributed to measurable progress, such as a sustained reduction of 300 weekly support hours within a year of placement. Sessions help to reduce support hours over time, with individuals demonstrating increased resilience, self-awareness, and independence.
What the Service Offers
The therapeutic service is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains relevant, meaningful, and aligned with evolving needs.

Since Prudent Supported Living living took on our complex young individual, it has been great. Professionals have felt reassured due to the high standard of support provided to our complex client, as well as the continuous communication, reporting, feedback, and importantly the therapeutic element of the care that’s being provided.
This has allowed the individual to get to a place where she hasn’t been able to before, engaging with professionals and being able to reflect on traumas and behaviours. I can only thank Prudent Supported Living for this.
